Who this is for

You do not want to drift your way through your career.

Early in clarity

You are new to the workplace, or a few years in, and you are starting to realise that simply working hard is not enough. You want to make smart career decisions, but no one ever showed you how to think strategically about your path.

Under-positioned

You are capable, qualified and consistently delivering, yet your effort is not translating into recognition, progression or pay. It is not about effort — it is about how your value is positioned and understood.

Misaligned with your potential

On paper things look fine. Internally, something feels off. You know you are capable of more impact, more growth and more fulfilment than your current role allows. You do not want to give up on your career; you want one that fits who you are becoming.

If any of that lands, it is not because you are failing. It is because no one ever taught you how to build a career intentionally.

The five common mistakes

After 15 years in financial services and 10 years hiring, training, managing and coaching professionals, five mistakes come up again and again.

  1. 01Accepting any job offer without considering whether it aligns with your strengths, values and career interests.
  2. 02Prioritising busy day-to-day duties and neglecting the work that is strategically relevant and valuable.
  3. 03Waiting for opportunities to come to you instead of speaking about your achievements and ambitions.
  4. 04Shying away from challenges that seem risky, and missing the high-reward experiences behind them.
  5. 05Missing growth opportunities by not actively seeking guidance, feedback and mentorship.
How I learned what actually moves careers

Doing good work is not the same as building a career strategically.

I began my career in a highly competitive corporate environment with a strong academic foundation and a clear ambition. What became apparent very quickly was that despite working hard and delivering results, effort alone was not translating into progression, pay or visibility. It was not a lack of capability — it was a lack of understanding of how the workplace actually works.

No one teaches you how to think strategically about your career. No one explains how positioning, visibility and timing influence progression. And no one hands you the playbook. What felt like personal confusion was actually a structural gap.

Through intentional learning, mentorship and close observation of high-performing environments, I identified the patterns that consistently drive progression. When I applied them deliberately, the results followed: I was headhunted into an Executive Director role at a Tier 1 investment bank and promoted four times in three years, quadrupled my compensation over five years, earned industry recognition, and went on to write Visible Strengths and found a career development consultancy.

That framework is the spine of the MVP Accelerator. It is the work I now do with women who want to stop guessing and start building careers that grow in confidence, opportunity and income over time.

The curriculum

Three phases, seven modules, twelve weeks.

Phase one

Capitalise on Strengths

Navigating your career's ascent demands more than skill — it requires a profound awareness of your unique strengths. You will discover and deploy your capabilities so you become an indispensable force in your organisation and industry.

  • SELF

    Discover & activate your strengths

Discover your strengths so you can align your work to your talents and build a more strategic, intentional career that benefits you.

  • STEPS

    Set goals with effective strategy

Create a custom career plan that aligns with your ambitions, and implement a strategy that increases your chances of success.

Phase two

Contribute Value

Climbing the ladder involves more than technical skill — it is about strategically showcasing your value. You will define, deliver and amplify your value so your actions turn into valued achievements and career-defining moments.

  • SOLVE

    Define & deliver value

Uncover core challenges within your sphere of influence and convert them into strategic opportunities to deliver results for your most critical stakeholders.

  • SQUAD

    Build & activate your networks

Become a networking powerhouse, attracting influential connections that support your growth and amplify your results.

  • SWAG

    Cultivate confidence

Push through self-doubt and cultivate a more confident mindset and persona, so you can get out of your own way and speed up your growth.

  • STYLE

    Understand workplace etiquette

Understand the governing etiquette of the workplace, so you can avoid the blunders that are difficult to recover from.

Phase three

Communicate Results

Professional ascension transcends skill — it is defined by visibility. You will step into your role as chief marketing officer of product 'You', spotlight your impact and become unforgettable in the marketplace.

  • STORY

    Be visible

Design and implement a strategic visibility plan that highlights your achievements, aligns with your goals and amplifies your impact, so your contributions are acknowledged, respected and valued.
